Celebrate Brisbane’s vibrant LGBTI community at the inaugural MELT Festival. The two week festival will showcase the best of queer culture in February with a ripe program filled with hilarious highs and decadent depths. Whether you’re into theatre, music and arts or comedy and cabaret, there’s something for everyone.
To top it all off, this year’s festival will have three new events: MELT Picnic: a host of hot events and performances in the beautiful parklands; MELT Portrait Prize: a portrait competition that calls on local artists and photographers to submit a portrait that celebrates their heroes; and MELT Beauty Pageant: where audiences can cheer on drag queens, kings and trans beauties as they battle it out for the MELT Beauty title.
